A note from Pastor Mallory

Thank you for your desire to serve. As we near the holiday season and we become busier and busier, please be mindful that as you minister, it must be from a full cup. Prophetic ministry is an overflow of your life with God, your ability to hear His voice and discern His promptings and then of course, to clearly annunciate that into the English language for someone else to be encouraged, edified or comforted.

One of my all-time favorite verses that I pray every day is Psalm 9:14, “Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, my Savior and Redeemer.” The psalmist had it right. Please God let me honor you in everything I say and do. So, as you prepare for family times, meetings and festivities, be sure you carve out a few minutes every day to sit in His presence and let His spirit wash over you to align your heart and mind with HIM. He never disappoints and love never fails.

I love and appreciate your hearts and am grateful to oversee this ministry.

 Our Pink Prophetic Leadership Team is AMAZING! They are: Wilma Rummell, Tomi Jarrell, Stacey Bengsston, Kim Slater, Jennifer Weiss, Laura Byrne, Cheryl Read and Nancy Lancor.

Each of these anointed leaders sacrificially serves our Gateway Pink Small Groups women. As a matter of fact, Pink Prophetic could not do ANY ministry without each of these wonderful servant/leaders.

Most of the Pink Small Groups Leaders have no idea how much planning, effort and prayer goes into serving them. How sweet it is that I can totally rely on our Leadership Team to “make things happen.” To those who serve as Team Leaders on the day of ministry, you are the ones that keep prophetic ministry on course. THANK YOU.

Someone gave me a sign several years ago. It says; “Work for the Lord the pay isn’t much but the retirement plan is out of this world.”

I pray the blessings of God will run you down and over take you.  I pray you will know the riches the Lord has stored up for you in Heaven “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Eph. 3:20. 

By the way; if I don’t see you again before the Lord calls me Home, I’ll meet you at Paul’s house. HALLELUJAH!

Pat yourself on the back! By Tomi Jarrell

 A pat on the back; a high five in passing; a ‘great job’ heard from a friend. We all need to know we have and are doing a good job.  Ladies, I am sending you a virtual high five. You are doing a good job!

Prophetic ministry is so much fun, and sometimes we get to witness an emotional reaction to a word spoken.  However, most of the time the words we speak are not visible to the eye and are spiritual seeds being planted. Most seeds will take weeks, months and even years to begin to bring forth its fruit.  Like the seed planted in the ground, the prophetic word will take time before it will produce fruit. We might not ever see the fruit of the word spoken, sometimes if we do get to see it so much time has passed the receiver doesn’t remember who spoke it.  If we are to depend on man for our affirmation then we will have missed the greatest reward of all.  That moment when we hear the Father say, “Well done!” I am praying today The Lord is giving you ears to hear Him lovingly whisper, ‘Great job, daughter! You have done well. Look at the seeds you have planted and the hearts you have touched.’ 

Written Blessings are a true blessing By Laura Byrne

I direct the Written Blessings Team for the Pink Prophetic ministry. Throughout the year our team writes blessings for various ministries and events. Every woman who attends the yearly Pink Conference receives a written blessing in her registration packet or sometime during the conference as a handout. The written blessings are each individually composed by the Written Blessings Team plus other members of the Pink Prophetic ministry so that each of the thousands of Conference attendees have in hand, before they leave the Conference, their own prophetic word. The Team members pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they write prophetic words which address the lives of women they will never personally meet.

At the conclusion of last April’s Conference as I walked to my car, a young woman whose husband is on the Gateway Pastoral staff approached me with tears in her eyes. Because she knows of my role on the Written Blessings Team she asked if she could tell me about her experience with her own written blessing. She shared that before the Conference began she had prayed for direction in an area of her life.

When she opened her written blessing and read the words, she felt the Holy Spirit answered her prayer very specifically. Neither this precious young woman nor I knew the identity of the writer of her personal blessing but because the Holy Spirit is the true Author Whom all the writers seek, the women of Gateway are comforted, encouraged, and their prayers confirmed by their written blessings.

Passionate about prayers By Nancy Lancor

 There are many things I love about being a part of Pink Prophetic…the heart of the women serving, the unity in wanting to share God’s heart with His daughters, the friendships that evolve as we press in to serve our Father…and it goes on.

As I receive prayer requests and email them out to the team, I love knowing that these requests will be prayerfully considered and prayed for.  It’s so encouraging to know these requests will be covered by team members who know how to hear their Father just how He wants them to pray for various needs. And praise reports – I think my most favorite aspect to the prayer ministry is to receive reports of answered prayer!! What a faithful God we serve!

So if you have a prayer request for yourself or your family, know there are prayer warriorettes coming before the throne on your behalf.

 I just wanted to express how wonderful it has been to be apart of the PINK prophetic leadership team! I have enjoyed getting to meet the amazing leaders who are heading up our PINK groups at Gateway Church.

This semester was a special time as we focused our time on ministering to new groups or women who have never received a prophetic word. To see the amazing blessings God poured onto these women week in and week out was truly spectacular. I am honored to be a part of such a special ministry and I look forward to what God has in store for the team and for the PINK groups in 2013!

It is one of my greatest joys to serve you as the overseeing pastor of the Pink Prophetic Teams. Thanks to each and every one of you for the very important part you play in prophetic ministry!

A Note From Tomi Jarrell, PPM Section Leader:

I have the privilege of serving with servants, and at times “thank you” can seem very inadequate.  Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my gratefulness and admiration to the members of our Women’s Pink Prophetic Leadership Team.

Wilma Rummell and Tomi Jarrell; these two women are a tremendous blessing. Both of them are very creative, superb, awesome, etc. etc. and dedicated Section Leaders, who oversee our Women’s Pink Prophetic Team.

Stacey Bengtsson & Kim Slater make the practical side of ministry work. Without Stacey and Kim, the Small Group women who are receiving Women’s Pink Prophetic Ministry would not know where to go and which team from whom they will be receiving ministry. They handle some on the spot schedule changes with excellence and grace. Cheryl Read schedules all Women’s Pink Prophetic special events. (cont.)

Laura Byrne has taken on the task of overseeing our Pink Blessings Team. She has taken Pink Blessings to a whole new level.   Nancy Lancor diligently serves as our prayer point contact. We have recently added a new Team member, Jennifer Weiss, who will oversee the materials we use for our Pink Prophetic Training. Welcome Jennifer.

THANK YOU to each team leader that accepted the call to lead, and to each team member that gave their time to be trained and prepared their heart for ministry; a big thanks to our Leadership Team that handled all details, enabling ministry to take place; and deep gratitude to our beloved “Mama Karen” and Pastor Jan for their continued support, guidance and prayer covering.

United in one Spirit, we served with excellence and 855 lives were directly touched by this ministry.  For that, we praise the Lord and say: “That was wonderful, let’s do it again!”

Prayer – Please remember that all prayer requests submitted to Nancy are to be of a very personal nature and include yourself or immediate family only. Our main purpose is to in prayer for each team member!! If you have other prayer requests, please submit them to Gateway’s Prayer Dept.

PPT –Ladies, our PPT classes are growing!! We are so excited but in order for us to really get to know the women, we need your help!!! Please send us your recommendations personally so we can track who the referral came through and can talk to you about your referral, if need be!!

Healthy Prophetic Ministry

- Tomi Jarrell

Guidelines to a mature prophetic minister

1) minister with excellence

- filter everything through the Holy Spirit

- every word you receive is NOT something to be shared, if it is negative or could bring condemnation pray over it

- keep your words to 90 seconds or less

- share the word but don’t preach it or interpret it

- it’s not about us!

2) under authority

- we are under the authority of our elders

- we are to not pastor pastors

- we are not in the office of a prophet

- we must always minister under the anointing of the Holy Spirit

- don’t fish or read peoples body language

- it’s ok to be wrong, ask God to cover what you say

- we may want the word to be a now word, but it may be a word for the future

3) love people

- people need to know that God loves them and we love them

4) are healthy

- don’t minister from a wounded place, take a sabbatical and come back when you are healthy

- prophecy is a function and carries no pubic opinion or personal status

- don’t act weird or spooky or fish for affirmation

5)  respect the scripture

- the Bible is our ultimate authority

- the Word of God will not return void

6) do not speak on behalf of God

- no “Thus says the Lord” or “God told me”

- use instead “I sense, I think, I feel”

7) are intimate with God

- our most important job is intimacy with God
